Why pregnancy causes back pain
As your baby grows, your posture shifts, your center of gravity moves forward, and hormones loosen the ligaments around your pelvis. That combination puts extra strain on your lower back, hips, and pelvis, especially in the second and third trimesters.
Common problems we help with
- Lower back pain
- Pelvic and tailbone pain
- Hip pain and sciatica
- Upper back and neck pain
- Rib pain as the baby grows
How we help
Care is gentle and adapted to your stage of pregnancy and comfort. Your plan can include:
- Gentle chiropractic adjustments, modified for your stage of pregnancy and your comfort
- Plenty of soft tissue work for tight back, hip, and pelvic muscles
- Seated decompression in our FDA-cleared Back On Trac chair
- Safe exercises and stretches for home, plus tips for sleeping and sitting

Questions
Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
Chiropractic care is commonly used during pregnancy, and we adapt every technique and position to keep you and your baby comfortable. Let your OB or midwife know you're seeing us.
When should I call my OB or midwife instead?
Call your OB or midwife right away for any bleeding, fluid leaking, regular contractions, severe or sudden pain, a severe headache, sudden swelling of your face or hands, or if your baby is moving less than usual.
Is chiropractic care covered by insurance?
We accept Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Tricare, and many more, plus workers' compensation and auto accident claims. Call us and we'll check your benefits before you start.
Do I need a referral?
