Common work injuries we treat

  • Back strains from lifting, bending, and twisting
  • Neck and shoulder pain from desk and computer work
  • Wrist, elbow, and hand pain from repeated tasks, including carpal tunnel and tennis elbow
  • Knee, hip, and foot pain from long hours standing

Why work injuries happen

Some work injuries happen in a moment, like lifting something heavy the wrong way. Many build up slowly from doing the same motion or holding the same position day after day. Both usually respond well to care that treats the injury and changes how your body handles the work.

How we treat it

We ask about your job and how you do it, then examine the injured area. Your plan can include:

  • Chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue work to ease pain and restore motion
  • Focused shockwave therapy for stubborn tendon and muscle pain
  • Corrective exercises that build strength for the demands of your job
  • Advice on lifting, workstation setup, and breaks

Where we see you

We have two offices, both inside Parkway Athletic Club and open to everyone, no gym membership needed. South Reno is on Double Diamond Parkway, close to Damonte Ranch and South Meadows. Sparks is on East Lincoln Way, near The Outlets at Legends.

Questions

What happens at the first visit?

We talk through your history and check how you move to find the source of the problem, then explain what's going on and your options. New patient visits take about 45 to 60 minutes.

Do you accept workers' comp?

Yes, we accept workers' compensation. Let us know when you book that your injury happened at work, and bring your claim information to your first visit.

When should I see a medical doctor instead?

Go to the emergency room or urgent care for a possible broken bone, a head injury, a deep cut, chest pain, or numbness and weakness that came on suddenly. See a medical doctor first if you can't put weight on a limb.

Is chiropractic care covered by insurance?

We accept Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Tricare, and many more, plus workers' compensation and auto accident claims. Call us and we'll check your benefits before you start.

Do I need a referral?

No referral needed. You can book directly with Dr. Covert online or by phone.
